Gloominess outside begins today. The rain pitters and swells reducing the previous shine of the sky to something resembling grey goose pie. Contrast no more, the damp aims to unsettle the score, this is just day one, must I remind you. --Must I remind me really, you see the trees will gain from the rain and somehow simultaneously make me insane. Day one stuck inside, not too bad. Well its Wednesday, and that means I’m on my weekend. Pretty cool idea meaning now I have to find things to do on Thursday Friday Saturday and Sunday so I feel justified in cramming 6 courses in on Monday and Tuesday and Wednesday. Today I got fleeced by the garda, it was registration day so those 300 euros just went flying by, where moments before I had been reading about jack Kerouac alone in a big sur cabin pondering big waves and rocks and cliffs and drops, I stumbled into the office and meekly gave up hundreds of dollars. Money doesn’t really mean much here, or that is to say it could mean everything, but because it is so I can’t tell how this place works. Everything costs money but most people don’t have too much of it yea? So then how does it work. The efficiency of the police station so far has been unrivaled in all other matters here, especially concerning class registration and learning how to use the printing facilities in the library and the queues to talk to the I...
